Just another night

Just another night that
I don’t want to face.
Just another memory
that I wish I could erase.

Just another night that
I wish my life would end.
Just another broken heart
that I can’t seem to mend.

Just another night that
the minutes tick by slow.
Just another wanderer
without a place to go.

Just another night that
alone I have to stand.
Just another flame
that burns me like a brand.

Just another night that
the wicked winds will blow.
Just another river
in which my tortured tears will flow.

Just another night that
I don’t want to face.
Just another memory
that I wish I could erase.
